Common Sense Gun Control Are You Politically Incorrect? By: Roger Fulton One source estimates the number of guns in America at 200 million. But nobody really knows how many guns Americans have. And that's the point. Nobody, not the U.S. Government, not the politicians, and not any foreign country knows exactly how many guns are in the hands of honest, law-abiding Americans. Sun Tzu said it more than 2500 years ago. "Know thine enemy, and they are yours." At this point in time, none of the formerly cited foreign or domestic entities really knows enough to attack, or even to disarm millions of American citizens. As a result, we enjoy a freedom that is not immediately threatened by any politician or bureaucrat in any government, domestic or foreign. Yet, some politicians and special interest groups continue to call for a national registration and complete control of all guns in the United States. Is that right, or wrong? We thought we would look into the matter. Compliments of Informed Source Newsletter, a newsletter for professional security people in both the public and private sectors, here is what they recently found out from reviewing the history books: In 1911, Turkey forced gun control on its citizens. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million "politically incorrect" Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were systematically rounded up and exterminated. In 1929, the Soviet Union forced gun control on its citizens. From 1929 to 1953, some 20 million "politically incorrect" citizens, unable to defend themselves, were systematically rounded up and exterminated. In the late 1930's Germany forced gun control on its citizens. Adolph Hitler, proud of his gun registration program, stated in 1938: "This year will go down in history! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future." As always, confiscation of all civilian guns followed the forced registration of all privately held guns in Germany. From 1938 to 1945, more than 6 million, "politically incorrect" Jews were systematically rounded up and, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated in what is known today as "The Holocaust". Informed Source Newsletter continued on with similar "gun control" accounts from a variety of other countries around the world. The results were always the same; First "registration" then "confiscation,", then "elimination" of their own, "politically incorrect" citizens. Where do you stand today in America? Are you "politically correct," or "politically incorrect?" And ask yourself, "When will your politically correct status change? Perhaps Benjamin Franklin, one of our founding fathers, said it best back in 1759: "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Study the past if would like to view your future. Editor's Note: Special Thanks to F.C.
